Language as Noise and Decoding

Our experience in the diaspora, observing multiple cultural and geographical boundaries, reveals a fundamental truth: language is, initially, noise. It is a matrix of sounds, silences, and acquired acoustic textures. Immersion in a new environment is, therefore, an exercise in decoding.

My initial stay in the place I inhabit was defined by this matrix of noise: an incomprehensible, static field. Gradual integration into the language and culture doesn't eliminate the noise, but rather modulates it, allowing fragments of meaning to emerge. At the moment of decoding, the key words transcend their abstract, audible form to become understandable images.
