Noise On Off: inside [outside] the anechoic chamber
Noise On Off: Inside [Outside] the Anechoic Chamber is a collection of works created at different times and places, in series and themes that sometimes converge and at other times diverge. The common thread and guiding principle of this selection is based on the concept of noise and visual-sonic narrative, which resulted in a process of experimentation through the implementation of elements of plastic expression. This exhibition takes as its reference point the experience of John Cage (American conceptual musician) who, upon entering a room completely isolated from external sound stimuli at Harvard University in 1951, could only perceive two sounds: those of his circulatory system and his nervous system, thus discovering that absolute silence does not exist.
